Happy Monday!
Okay, okay not really happy Monday. It's Monday- it's raining & blah, I have to work, I have a meeting at 9am....and it's Monday.
This is how I feel.

So, ready for it?! I was 0/5 last week.
Yikes! Here's the whole story. Monday, I was off of work. Then on Tuesday I got sick & I was feeling pretty (read: totally and completely miserable!) the rest of the week. I missed work Tuesday and Wednesday & it was all I could do to stay awake at my desk all day on Thursday & Friday.
Needless to say, the only thing I honestly focused on? Getting up, getting at least halfway ready and going to work....and staying there all day long. It was rough week.
1) Write in gratitude journal daily.
2) Do something active 3x this week!
3) Journal what I eat daily.
4) Get out my Valentine's Day cards!
5) Sleep without my phone next to me.
That is a WHOLE lot of red.
Good news? I can start fresh! I can (and WILL!) go into this weekend with new goals, a new attitude, a healthy body and the support of my blogging friends!
1) Write in a gratitude journal daily.
I, lately, have had the mantra "It's just a bad day- not a bad life" which really helps me to get through my "bad days." I think know that if I spent sometime every day reflecting on the GOOD and the POSITIVE in my life that I could have a much, much better week than I did this past week.
2) Do something active 3x this week.
I know that I have a busy week ahead, so, I'm setting myself up for success and going into this week with a plan to be active 3x out of 5 days.
3) Journal what I eat daily.
So, I've still been eating gluten free. That's awesome! But, honestly? It doesn't necessarily mean that I'm eating all that much healthier than if I were eating non-gluten free. Like I've said before, I want to be more aware of exactly what I'm fueling my body with.
4) Sleep without my phone next to me.
Y'all, I have a horrible habit of sleeping with my phone right next to me. EVERY night. It's a terrible habit because when I wake up in the middle of the night (most nights!) I'll check twitter, Facebook emails, blogs, etc. It just starts me up again and then it takes a while to wind back down. I need to break myself of this habit! There is NO reason that my phone needs to be on my nightstand. Even when I'm using it as an alarm clock, sleeping with it across the room or in the next room will STILL wake me up when the alarm goes off!
5) Get everything ready for work the night before.
This means showering, picking out my clothes, packing my lunches, putting together my workout clothes- EVERYTHING short of getting dressed, made up and eating breakfast! I function SO much better in the morning when I go into the day ahead of the game.
So, there you have it! Those are MY goals for the week ahead!
What about you?! What are you setting out to do?!
Link up and let us know!
By the way, if you decided to link up with us today (THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!) we just ask that you follow good 'blogging manners' & do the following itty bitty things....

This is my first time to link up and I am hoping it holds me more accountable! Love that you write down what you fuel your body with... I may steal that one for next week! Have a great Monday (even though it's Monday...)
ReplyDeleteThis may sound odd, but sometimes I like that I completely mess up the goals for a week because it gives me the opportunity to completely knock it out of the park the following week. Maybe I just like being an underachiever sometimes? Don't judge ;)
ReplyDeleteBad weeks just make you extra motivated! You got this lady!
ReplyDeleteHi Jen! Everyone has their weeks, mine seem to be more frequently lately, but it's ok, we always have another week ahead of us! :) You've got this week in the bag, you go girl!

ReplyDeleteI really like this week's goals! I'm completely with you on the phone thing. I should really just invest in an alarm clock. Hope you had a great day :)
ReplyDeleteI always love your goals! I love the idea of not having my phone by my head, I am overdosing on social media and can't leave the thing alone. You've inspired me!
