It's Me Today!

Hi my friends!

Oh, how glad I am to be writing to you all again!

The last 7 days have been CRAZY with work! I worked Monday through Sunday...and I'm just exhausted, but, back at it again today! There's no season like 'SHOW' season! In my industry, we have big 'markets' in January and July.

My feet hurt, I'm exhausted and I am buried in work, but,
the good news?! The 'Atlanta International Gift & Home Furnishings Market' as a huge success! I was BUSY, BUSY, BUSY the entire time I was there. It was a great show!

Anyways, I'm so glad to be back to my "9-5 desk job" because I've missed blogging and talking to y'all- even though I'm sure you enjoyed Ricci, Mia and Melissa's posts!

Since it is Monday...you know it's time to link up with myself and Jessica for {5 for Five}! Not sure what {5 for Five} is?! Check out this post to learn a little bit more!  We hope you'll link up with us soon!

First off, a recap of last week. Yeah...it's not looking so good. I really, really didn't make my goals happen.

1) Wake up at 6am every morning.
Yeah, I think this happened 2 out of 5 days. It was sometimes way later (8:00am on Tuesday!) or only a little bit (6:30am on Wednesday!) but yeah, it was a failure.

2) Limit myself to 2 (at max!) alcoholic drinks a day.
I actually didn't have single alcoholic beverage all week. No wine, no vodka- nothing! I needed to stay on my A game last week and honestly, drinking was expensive and tiring- neither of which I needed.

3) Be Confident!
I can honestly say that I was successful at this. I stood my ground, admitted shortcomings and allowed myself to accept praise. I did well standing strong in who I am and the fact that I am good at what I do!

4) Take 30 minutes for myself everyday.
Again, didn't happen. Working all day and staying in a hotel room with coworkers didn't really allow for much 'me' time. I wish that I had done this...I really, really do. I think if I made more time for myself this week I wouldn't feel quite as fried as I do this week.

5) "Put Quarters in the Machine"
Essentially, this was just making an effort to get to know the people I work with. I don't think I completely blew this, but, I certainly didn't do as much as I had hoped for or enough. Oh well, this I will have to try again via email or next time I see everyone!

So, what lies ahead for this week?!

1) Only take my laptop home from work two nights out of the week.
I know I'll be slammed at work, but, I don't want to spend my nights working this week! I want to work hard from 9-5 and then give myself a break!

2) Do something 'active' everyday this week!
Whether it be yoga on Tuesday/Thursday (I really need to make that happen!) or a brief walk outside- i want to do something active and get ready to get myself into an active lifestyle.

3) Clean the kitchen (fridge included!)
I need to throw out old food, take out the trash, organize the pantry. My kitchen is desperately needing some attention. Really, the entire apartment, but, my main annoyance is the kitchen!

4) Make a meal plan for next week.
I want to 'think ahead' and get a meal plan, grocery shopping list and ideas of what I want to eat down on paper for next week. I think that if I give myself time to get prepared that I can have a successful healthy and 'at home' eating week!

5) Dedicate some time to the blog this week!
Writing future posts, catching up on emails, getting sponsor stuff together & reading/commenting on blogs....I need (and want!) to spend some quality time on the blog!

How did you do on your goals last week?! What are you looking forward to accomplishing this week?!
Link up with me and Jessica & let us know!
Have a fantastic week, loves!

This is a great list! I hope this week isn't as busy for you...believe me, I know the feeling. My problem is too much travel. I just want to be home for a while!
