{5 for Five}- 2013 First Edition!

Good morning friends!

This post comes to you from my iPad & will be short and sweet!

I had the laziest weekend!! So much I could have, should have & need to do BUT I'm coming into a CRAZY week ahead with work. I'll be working straight through next weekend, so, I decided to indulge myself and do lots of TV watching and marathon napping. Sometimes we just need it!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU all for linking up with us last week & sharing you top 5 goals for 2013! I honestly was in awe of how many of you linked up with us! Jessica and I sincerely appreciate your support & encouragement.

It's so strange not having goals to reflect on from last week- but regardless, I'm excited for my and Jessica's first {5 for Five} linkup in 2013!

So here we go with the first 5 goals of 2013...

1) Wake up at 6am every morning.
This way I'll have some time to myself every morning. Then I'll have time to get ready, reflect and rejuvenate myself for the day ahead.

2) Limit myself to 2 (at max!) alcoholic drinks a day.
Work dinners can tend to get a little crazy! Limiting myself to 2 drinks will help me to stay at my best AND feel great for the next day.

3) Be confident!
I need to remember that I'm good at what I do, completely capable at my job & I can be successful! I need to go into this week with confidence & belief in myself!

4) Take 30 minutes for myself everyday.
These weeks it can be SO stressful to be around people NON STOP for several days. Wednesday through Sunday I want to be sure that I carve out a little bit on non work time for myself. Whether it be blogging, using the gym at the hotel or taking a walk- I want to make sure I have "Jenn" time, too.

5) "Put Quarters in the Machine"
I'm spending the week with people I work with via email and/or phone EVERYDAY but I only see them a few times a year. I want to take time to invest in my relationships with these people. Get to know them more personally- learn about their families and their lives outside of work.

Now, tell me....what are your {5 for Five} goals! I can't wait to hear what you have on your plate for the week ahead!!

PS- be sure to check back on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday for some fun guest posts from some of my sweet bloggy girlfriends!

  1. Those all look like such great goals, especially the one about taking time for yourself. I definitely need to remember to do that one myself.

  2. I need to do #1! My alarm goes off and I just keep hitting the snooze until the very last possible second. It's bad and then I don't have time for breakfast and I have little leeway if anything goes wrong in the morning, lol. Best wishes for your goals for the week! xo
